It used to be called “PILI-NGO Movement”. PILI, since 2004, has facilitated the initial effort to form IdOU. Until 2008, and within collaboration scheme, PILI and IdOU published Kukila and Bird Checklist as well as once held some invited talks. PILI had also provided secretariat support for IdOU activities. |

Kutilang Indonesia

In addresing case of avian influenza outbreak in Indonesia, IdOU has collaborated with Kutilang Indonesia Foundation (KIF) to establish a surveillance system to help the government monitor and manage the case in particularly in wild bird conservation aspects. Project management and field activities have been coordinated by the KIF, and a guideline for those who would like to carry out avian influenza-wild birds related studies has been produced by this collaborative project and can be obtained at the foundation. |
Bogor Agricultural University

Departement of Forest Resource Conservation and Ecotourism, Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia, collaborated with School of Environmental and Life Sciences, Charles Darwin University and Indonesian Ornithologists’ Union (IdOU) conducting a scientific writing and grant application for environmental and agricultural sciences. The course held on 24-30 April 2008 and supported by Atse Crawford Fund. |
